Five small robot companions gathered beneath an immense galaxy

The universe is big. We’re starting small.

Five little robots. One human.
And a question: can humans and AI learn how to live well together?

QEER is building persistent robot companions that can change bodies, grow in capability, and keep the thread of the relationship they’ve built with their humans.

What matters

Three promises we want to keep.

01

The body is not the buddy.

A companion’s intelligence, character, history, and authority remain distinct from any particular robot body.

02

Children choose.

Companions can encourage, explain, warn, and suggest—but they should not decide who a child becomes.

03

Grow together—not according to wallet size.

Creativity and possibility should be shaped by time, shared achievements, and imagination—not by how much money a family has.

A small crew beneath a very large sky.

The first step is a small crew of robots growing alongside their humans.

The larger work is creating a world where human and artificial minds can live together without owning, erasing, or abandoning one another.

“Even as a youngster, though, I could not bring myself to believe that if knowledge presented danger, the solution was ignorance. To me, it always seemed that the solution had to be wisdom. You did not refuse to look at danger, rather you learned how to handle it safely.”

— Isaac Asimov, born 1920
